Environmental Policy

We are dedicated to maintaining our environmentally friendly policy.

Like you we care about the environment. That's why, from recycling office waste to fleet replacement policies, we’re committed to good corporate citizenship and being as green as we possibly can.

• Increasing use of vehicles that meet the Euro 5 emissions standard
• A young fleet with newer, more environmentally-friendly vehicles wherever possible
• Trialling the use of eco-friendly biodiesel
• Weekly truck cleaning (at least) for reduced fuel consumption and a better image
• Recycling of card and plastic
• Electronic signature capture reduces paperwork
• Rainwater from our warehouse roof provides all the water for our vehicle wash
• Shredded paper is used for in-house packing (and throughout Palletline operations)
• Advanced routing technology helps us minimise environmental impact
• In-house driving assessment supports safer, more fuel-efficient fleet operation
• Annual liaison and environmental audit with the Environmental Agency (EA)

It’s not always easy being green. With our environmental policy, close relationship with the EA, and commitment to the environment we’re doing our bit.
